Intuitech, a water treatment equipment fabricator, is seeking to hire a new member for our engineering team. This position will work with focus on the technical support and troubleshooting aspect of our projects, as well as working closely with our mechanical and electrical designers and programmer.
Our engineering team designs, models, and provides quality control over the fabrication of our equipment. In addition to job-based design and delivery functions, the group is focused on improving design and manufacturing methods as well as assisting in new product development and testing.
Your time will roughly be split between technical support and troubleshooting (30%), electrical IO review and working with programming for PLC and HMI design (10%), factory commissioning of equipment (20%), traveling for onsite start-up (30%), QAQC (5%), and innovation (5%).
A successful candidate should have a basic level of proficiency in:
- HMI programming software; preference will be given to experience in Wonderware InduSoft and Factory Talk View HMI programming software.
- PLC programming software; preference will be given to experience in SoMachine, Unity, and RSLogix 5000 PLC programming software
- IEC 61131-3 programming languages: preference will be given to experience in Structured Text
- Electrical design software; preference will be given to candidates with experience in SolidWorks Electrical.
Equally important to technical skills, candidates should have a desire to learn new things and an inquisitive nature. Candidates must be teachable and willing to attend technical trainings to gain specialized skills germane to their role. To be successful, candidate will also need superior communication skills, ability to work without distraction, problem solving skills, and a high level of personal confidence based on real experience. Lastly, they will need a drive to evolve and find better ways of doing things.
Responsibilities:
- Application of Intuitech’s core application, written in InduSoft, to produce HMI applications for projects
- Application of Intuitech’s function block library, written in SoMachine, Unity, and RSLogix, to coordinate the development of PLC applications for projects
- Review and modify designs to increase production efficiencies
- Provide timely updates for PLC and HMI programs
- Coordinate with other colleagues regarding complex designs
- Research and evaluate the installation and proper use of mechanical and electrical components in systems
- Track project timelines to complete tasks on schedule
- Provide quality inspection during fabrication
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting to assist customers in operating and maintaining their system.
- Skill in remote management of systems and configuration of industrial control componenets
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in the water treatment field
- Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in related field
- Previous experience in troubleshooting and problem solving
- Previous experience in automation and industrial controls
- Familiarity with machine designs and control panel wiring diagrams
- Familiarity with CAD or other related software
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Ability to learn new things
- Ability to travel local and/or out of state up to 30% of time
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Job Type: Full-Time in office
Pay: $85,000 – $105,000
